CECILIA A. TRAVIS, M.Sc..
WRITER AND EDITOR
My background as a geologist, interpretive park ranger, and special education teacher has given me specialized experience in geology, botany, literacy, corporate security, and compliance.   I have produced and presented many photographic presentations on a variety of subjects.
Especially good at simplifying technical material without losing accuracy, I find adjusting to each organization's style guides and audience a fascinating editorial challenge.
My writing is tailored for my target audience, be that scientists, corporate executives, park visitors or toddlers.
I have edited corporate compliance policies and plans, training materials on geology and wildlife, and a thesis on arctic archeology.  I am familiar with style manuals, style sheets, electronic revisions and classic copyediting and proofreading symbols.
